The Roosterfish bar is a place where locals feel at home, and so do the visiting beach hotties. It has been around for over 25 years and is known as the only gay bar in Venice. But be sure and visit soon: Roosterfish will close it's doors for good in May 2016.

Paralel Universe!

Ok, the RoosterFish we went to on 9/7/10 had to be a different one to the reviews here, it was singularly the most unappealing bar with staff (I think the Owner?) who could not give a *** about any clients, as long as he could tell a straight couple about his website? we sat for a while waiting for a chance to get a refill, but it was clearly not going to happen so we left.. we spent $25 in a taxi to get there.. same on the way back, the most expensive MGD I have had in a very long time.. being in a 'posh' suburb, does not give your feathers or scales.. but apparantly, a LOT of attitude!

The Best on the coast

We are two gay guys from New Zealand. The bar made us feel right at home. Great barman and staff. Very welcoming. Very hard to leave as drinks were very moreish, howver did go back next day for more "punishment." Thanks guys, Bruce & Gary

FUN bar with laidback beach attitude.

Great bar, awesome patio. Fun Sunday bbq. Just a casual no attitude bar. Come in dinner wear or flip flops and boardies. Friendly people. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Totally fun!

Roosterfish is always a stop when in Marina del Rey or Venice! Great atmosphere, strong drinks, and a juke box. Older crowd, but great place for any age!
